Wesleyan Hospice offers a variety of bereavement services to assist family and friends in dealing with the loss of someone they love. Caring professionals provide support and counseling from the first days of illness and for up to 13 months after the death.

Bereavement care includes:

  • Supporting the patient and family through the dying process
  • Providing individual support services to include telephone calls, scheduled correspondence and counseling
  • Developing coping abilities in the grieving process
  • Educational and supportive grief materials
  • Memorial services

Grieving the death of a loved one is difficult work. Often bereaved people need extra support as they experience the world for the first time without the presence of their loved one. Grief support can help a bereaved person make the journey through grief with a greater sense of hope, strength and connection with the world around them.
